The Hall Markets is now one of Australia’s largest home-made and home-grown goods markets.
The markets have a rural theme and are held at the picturesque Hall Village Showground just 10 kilometres north of Canberra.
Held on the first Sunday of each month (except January) each market features about 250-300 stalls displaying their wares and fare.
The market has grown dramatically from a humble beginning in 1987 with just 36 stalls and a 20-cent entry fee with some of the original stallholders still going strong.
Since the first gathering many thousands of people have made visiting the Hall Markets a family tradition.
Friendly and full of bargains, the Hall Markets offer the best of fresh produce, baked goods, plants, furniture, clothing, pottery, jewellery, children’s toys, crafts, unique gifts, and more.
Barbeques, canteens, live music and other entertainment makes each visit a fun, family day out.
The Hall Markets are organised by Hartley Lifecare and supported by a large number of volunteers who help set up and run the markets as well as do the pack-down and clean-up.
Entry is by a gold coin donation helping fund Hartley Lifecare’s disability services.
The Markets are held from 10am to 3pm on the first Sunday of every month except January.
