Supporting Hartley by trekking Kokoda in May 2026..... again !!

Sometimes I think back to last year after completing and spending my 56th birthday on the Kokoda Trail ... and think ... "maybe I should not have told Eric Thauvette that i'd do it again in 2026 if he signed up".

So now i'm about to spend my 57th birthday on the Kokoda Trail - with the beautiful Lanette who's also doing it again - as well as Eric and his son Seb, Geoff, Michael.... and my son Rhys !

Help us to help Hartley to help those living with disability to live their best possible lives.

Hartley Lifecare is a Canberra-based not-for-profit organisation providing supported independent living, short term accommodation and respite care to people with disability across the ACT. We also operate an all-abilities, accessible hydrotherapy pool that supports mobility, wellbeing and independence.

Your donation helps Hartley deliver the everyday supports that make a real difference. This includes safe and well-maintained homes, accessible transport, short breaks and meaningful experiences such as outings and holidays. Donations also contribute to major infrastructure projects, including the complete rebuild of Hartley Court, a specialist disability accommodation for 10 Canberrans.
