ANNUAL REPORT 2019-2020

Hartley Lifecare is pleased to present our Annual Report for 2019-20. The organisation has faced many challenges over the past 12 months, from bushfire threats to a global pandemic. Despite these, one thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to people living with disability, and we have been overwhelmed by your continued and unwavering support.

As you read the report, we hope you will feel proud of the impact you have had to allow people with a disability to live their best life. We cannot thank you enough for your support.

HALL MARKETS ARE BACK FOR 2021

Hartley is excited to announce that the Hartley Hall Markets will be reopening on Sunday the 7th of March. (Pending no COVID-19 localized outbreaks).
This decision was made following consultation with key advisors from both ACT Health and ACT Events.

HARTLEY HIGH TEA 2020 CANCELLED

After extensive discussions and consultation with the ACT Government in relation to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Hartley Lifecare Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Hartley High Tea.

This decision was based on Hartley’s responsibility to safeguard our clients, staff, volunteers, and event participants from the risks associated with holding such an event during the current pandemic. 

CYCLE CHALLLENGE 2021

The 2021 event will see a change to the route and a new journey for 22 teams of 12 cyclists who will ride from Cooma to Mt Kosciusko and return, a distance of 315 kms.

Each team has 2 dedicated support crew to accompany them the entire journey and we also have over 30 volunteers who help across the entire weekend to ensure the cyclists are safe, comfortable and well fed.

A Sustainable Future 2020-2023

At such a critical point in Hartley Lifecare’s journey, the board of directors, on behalf of our clients, families, staff, volunteers and members, are delighted to share Hartley’s vision for the next 3 years through its new Strategic Plan, titled ‘A Sustainable Future’. 

As we move toward 2023, Hartley will continue to maintain and build upon its already strong foundations of ensuring clients’ needs are met, financial viability, sustainable growth and business excellence, and will now apply a new focus on 4 strategic objectives:
